Painted in soft blue-grey tones, Skipper was inspired by a rowdy morning at the Yamba boat ramp, where a flock of feathery hecklers squabbled over their morning catch.

Pelicans are full of personality — part dancer, part diva — and this one kept me smiling for hours.
